Position Summary:
The position is responsible for supporting the business through timely and accurate reporting and analysis. The position will assist the Accounting Manager as well as the corporate accounting team with day-to-day responsibilities. Additionally, the position will support the month-end, quarter end and year end close processes by creating journal entries and preparing reconciliations.
Position Responsibilities:
Execute and provide support to the Accounting Manager and finance organization for project related and process improvement initiatives.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes through analyzing results and creating and posting journal entries; produce account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries as needed.
Manage the financial reporting process.
Review account reconciliations as assigned.
Assist with corporate audit.
Respond to inquiries relating to areas of responsibility; interface with other departments to provide accurate and current data regarding financial transactions; interpret, apply and explain applicable policies and procedures.
Participate in payroll processing and reporting.
Assist in the preparation of documents required for the externally reviewed financial statements, tax returns, insurance renewals and audits.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
2 to 4 years’ experience in public accounting or 3-5 years in a related corporate accounting role.
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems preferred.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing business.
In-depth emotional intelligence: behavioral maturity, demonstrated trust and integrity, high ethical standards, interpersonal competence and the ability to collaborate and problem solve.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
PC Computer Proficiency: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint etc.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Education and Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree.
CPA or CPA eligible preferred.
