Talent Attraction and Retention

We're committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce in all areas of our organization because we know the value and impact that a diverse workforce brings to Oatey. Attracting underrepresented minority talent is key, but it's our proactive focus on retention that is essential for business success and the growth and development of our associates.

Education and Awareness

Included in our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, we host monthly forums focused on educating and building awareness on topics around different dimensions of diversity. These forums–in addition to digital resources, employee led discussions, and community engagement–build a strong foundation for an empathy-led culture.

Community Engagement

Our DE&I efforts expand beyond our own associates. We connect with others within our community and industry to share best practices and advance DE&I initiatives, including through partnerships with local schools, trade associations and other organizations committed to the advancement of historically underrepresented people. Our Supplier Diversity program is another way that we connect and engage with minority businesses to support their financial impact and contributions.

Ways to Participate

Associates can get personally involved in our DE&I efforts by joining an Associate Resource Group, participating in the DE&I Advisory Council or referring diverse talent for the vast array of great career opportunities at Oatey. Associates are encouraged to continually provide feedback and suggestions on how Oatey can continue to educate and foster an inclusive and engaging workplace for all.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council

Advisory Council members have the opportunity to contribute to Oatey's DE&I strategy and activities in each of our strategic pillars: Talent Attraction and Retention, Education and Awareness and Community Engagement. Members of the council engage in thought-provoking discussions, advocate for all associates, brainstorm creative solutions and provide leadership with important feedback and perspectives.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee

Oatey's DE&I Steering Committee is comprised of executive leadership team members and appointees, serving for a two-year term. The Steering Committee is the governing body for the DE&I Advisory Council and assists with setting the strategic direction of our key DE&I initiatives.

Associate Resource Groups

Women's Resource Network

The Women's Resource Network fosters the professional, personal and leadership development of women in all career levels at Oatey. The group hosts events, increases awareness of women in STEM fields and offers internal networking and development opportunities.

Emerging Professionals Group

Our Emerging Professionals Group (EPG) brings together engaged, career-oriented professionals. EPG partners with organizations and nonprofits to sponsor events that encourage collaboration and networking between our associates and business and community leaders.

Planeteers Sustainability Team

The Planeteers are committed to our mission to embrace social and environmental responsibility as part of doing business. The group hosts events such as park cleanups, leads sustainability initiatives and spreads awareness of related issues across the organization.
