Position Summary
The Receiving Coordinator I/CAN processes inbound customer orders while achieving daily company safety, quality and performance goals and objectives; functional daily responsibilities vary by the needs of the location.

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate incoming truckload deliveries with the schedulers and planners to ensure dock availability and manage priority deliveries.
  • Ensure that all incoming orders are processed/scanned correctly including verification of purchase order number, quantity, and any special handling requirements (i.e. Certificates of Analysis) before physical receipt, data entry and put away per the WMS locater system rules.
  • Provide information to management regarding any carrier performance issues i.e. damaged loads, improper stacking, shortages, etc.;
  • Put away inventory while consolidating inventory locations to improve warehouse efficiency

Knowledge and Experience

  • One (1) year experience as a Material Handler in a distribution center environment.
  • Good communication skills, English fluency, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy including WMS and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mastery of supply-chain logistics management and carrier routing requirements.
  • Ability to perform receiving functions including:
    • Check-In/Locate Product
    • Dock Management
    • Troubleshooting
  • Cooperative attitude toward co-workers and supervisors.
  • Solution minded when faced with challenges and problems.

Education and Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Machine Operator License (Walkie, Reach, Picker, Forklift, Fall Arrest)
