What we’re looking for…
Direct and supervise the manufacturing quality function. Support the transition of new products and product changes from corporate quality to the manufacturing floor.
Expectations & Accountabilities…
- Create, Implement and sustain an effective Quality Management Program which will provide policies, procedures, standards and a corrective action system to identify, analyze, test, assign and manage the corrective actions within the chemical and plastics manufacturing operation.
- Manage and direct the Quality Management Program and the assigned staff, including hiring, training, coaching and counseling to assure optimal performance of the quality program and staff.
- Manage the Quality program to include 3rd party audits and testing – NSF, IAPMO.
- Operate and manage the laboratory, and technical staff, by maintaining key analytical equipment and laboratory supplies ensuring inventory control, ordering and organizing.
- Develop procedures and documentation to monitor and improve the manufacturing process. Inspect during and post manufacturing.
- Assist R&D with new product launches and customer service with handling customer quality complaints.
- Introduce and follow new chemical processes.
- Manage hazard waste rework inventory with safety and manufacturing to get proper disposition.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to be successful…
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of Quality Program Management experience involving quality assurance and quality control in high volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven successful experience relating to a continuous Improvement within a manufacturing operation involving preventative analysis/improvements, managing an audit system, quality inspection processes/standards, project management, training and ISO or comparable /quality program and standards.
- Established experience with the implementation, revision and/or improvement of a quality corrective action program.
- In-depth emotional intelligence: behavioral maturity, demonstrated trust and integrity, high ethical standards, interpersonal competence, and the ability to prevent, reduce and resolve conflict.
- In-depth written and oral communication skills; stand-up presentation and training skills.
- In depth PC Computer Proficiency: Windows Operating System, Microsoft Software Package (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, SharePoint, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities generating results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Exhibited analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledgeable of environmental health and safety regulations and practices.

- Business, Engineering or other applicable Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years minimum relevant experience.
Experience that will set you apart….
- Product or industry-specific experience.
- ASQ Certification.
- Quality Auditor Trained and Certified.
- Quality Improvement Training.
- Knowledge of cement chemistry, adhesive background and/or plastic molded parts and related equipment.
- 6Sigma Green/Black Belt.
