What we’re looking for…  

The Engineering Governance Manager is responsible for the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of engineering documentation systems and its process capability required to support the growth and maintenance of Oatey's global product portfolio.

Scope includes CAD/engineering technology platforms through a combination of process and technology improvements to support the global product engineering organization to realize substantial improvements in speed, efficiency, and effectiveness of the CAD/engineering environment.

 

Expectations & Accountabilities …  

  • Implement and administer solutions for vaulting, engineering changes, and other related engineering documentation activities.
  • Provide primary contact point between Oatey and software providers for use issues, and with other applications as needed.
  • Interface with internal and external resources as needed to support applications, domestically and overseas.
  • Provide day-to-day global user support as needed to support Oatey's product development initiatives.
  • Responsible for engineering change control integration and other process improvements to eliminate waste, improve product development productivity, and incremental changes to continuously improve speed to market.
  • Create engineering reference materials and training documents to communicate and reinforce best practice processes and standards.
  • Deliver necessary and scheduled maintenance of product development engineering software, tools, and system upgrades for product development groups, such as; SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM.

What you’ll need to be successful… 

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • Experience with CAD and other engineering technology platforms
  • Strong communication and project management skills

 

Qualifications that will set you apart….  

  • Knowledge of SAP and business processes

Education and Certification

  • Associates/bachelor in engineering or equivalent experience
