What we're looking for...

The Data Governance Manager is passionate about data and its quality and integrity, understands the importance of collaboration, process governance and enjoys diving deep into business processes. This role is instrumental in ensuring Oatey has data that is reliable, consistent, and accurate. The Data Governance Manager will partner with teams across functional areas to identify and help mitigate risks to data quality and accuracy. In addition, this role will be instrumental in developing and managing applicable rules and policies to ensure the availability, usability, consistency, integrity, and security of critical data for the Company.

Expectations & Accountabilities...

  • Leading the Data governance initiative and being a key change agent, supplementing Data strategy by collaborating with executives, technology, data, and functional teams
  • Leading the development of a data cleanse strategy that includes ensuring accurate, reliable, and harmonized data.  This will include working collaboratively with the data migration team to plan and schedule data trial loads, and data cutover plans during the ERP implementation. 
  • Communication and collaboration across functional work areas to ensure data completeness and accuracy for all Oatey stakeholders.
  • Providing advisory services to the business to understand their data management issues and advising on appropriate data management strategies.
  • Proactively champion the value of information (data) as a strategic business asset and providing and promoting ideas that can be placed into action.
  • Assist in the definition of Data Management Standards, such as Data Governance strategy, Data Quality, Control, and Security standards and workflows.
  • Create and manage data governance workflows in accordance with governance framework.
  • Develop and manage data quality scorecards/dashboards to monitor data quality and accuracy.
  • Lead, coach and develop team members to ensure goals and objectives are met, supporting the individual growth of each associate.
  • Up to 15% travel may be required.

What you'll need to be successful...

  • Intermediate experience designing and implementing data management frameworks
  • Detailed oriented
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
  • Ability to speak up to address difficult issues and/or concerns
  • Excellent presentation skills (MS PPT) and ability to present to senior level teams
  • Having a leadership attitude to help spread the data quality mindset across the business.

Qualifications that will set you apart...

  • Process experience in functional areas of the Manufacturing/Distribution industry
  • Experience with ERP implementations, specifically SAP/S4 Hana
  • Change Control Management/JIRA experience
  • Experience with the data management standards such as ISO 8000

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and/or 3-5 years’ experience is preferred
