What we're looking for...
The Operations Manager will direct and manage all shipping and receiving activities of the distribution center to assure product quality and associate safety. Responsible for the supervision, coordination, and effective scheduling of associates to meet production targets, customer requirements, and quality standards while fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Expectations & Accountabilities...

  • Manages the daily activities to ensure productivity targets are met for each shift while maintaining quality standards.
  • Reviews performance reporting with the shift supervisors to assist in coaching and development of the supervisor and the direct reports to each shift. Maintain a productivity metrics database for the facility.
  • Supports consistent implementation of human resource policies and procedures including the attendance policy, performance merit ratings, associate counseling, and leadership development skills with manager and supervisors.
  • Work with EHS and Human Resources personnel to facilitate corporate EHSS programs.
  • Ensure good communication flow between departments and the management team.
  • Active member on the safety committee and accident review team to improve the overall safety of the DC.
  • Manage infrastructure modifications to improve the efficiency of the facility while recommending changes to the Director, Supply Chain Keeney.
  • Continue to improve the culture of the facility through providing guidance and training to the management team. Ensure standard work is being applied consistently on all shifts.
  • Oversee lean events to ensure projects are being completed timely and all team members are actively participating.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful...

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a distribution facility.
  • PC Computer Proficiency: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment.
  • Leadership and team-building skills to effectively motivate and supervise staff. Demonstrated ability to relate to all types of people; demonstrated trust and integrity.
  • Written and oral communication skills with English fluency in both; presentation skills.

Qualifications that can set you apart...

  • SAP ERP or WMS experience.
  • Experience with management of inventory and how product flows throughout the distribution center.
  • Experience reading and updating building drawings and maintaining records for the facility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent work experience.
